IF YOUR FAX IS ONLY 5 PAGES OR BELOW, THERE IS NO CHARGE UNLESS WE ARE IN THE FIELD AND HAVE TO STOP AT A COPY/FAX SERVICE TO RECEIVE IT. IF YOU ARE FAXING THERE IS A CHARGE FOR RECEIVING AND MAKING COPIES FOR YOUR WORK. FAXING/COPIES ARE $0.25 CENTS PER PAGE. THIS IS MUCH CHEAPER AND MORE CONVENIENT THAN GOING THROUGH ALL THE TROUBLE OF SHIPPING YOUR PAPERS TO US, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS A RUSH. These prices may change without notice. If we quote you a rate over the telephone and the work we receive has additional requests or tasks, rates may increase with each itemized work task depending on what it is. Work should be sent by Fax, FedEx or UPS if you are concerned about time. Sending by U.S. Mail may take more time and could effect your rates if your hearing date and or deadline causes us to rush service. If you call for a status on a serve you sent a week prior and we had just received it, this may cause you to ask for a rush upgrade and further billing to you should be considered. These are rare situations we have found, but due to a couple of these things popping up over the years, we feel obligated to make you aware. ***We do not call witnesses or defendants prior to service.*** If you request us to call your witness or defendant, be aware that service may be effected in a negative way. With our years of experience, it is our suggestion that the service of process be a surprise and not expected if at all possible! Even if your witness has agreed to appear for your hearing, or defendant told you they looked forward to being served, the reality is that service is going to be harder. People change their minds and find that being served is quite different than receiving a phone call. Sometimes the reality kicks in for your witness or defendant that this will effect their life and they may have to actually go to court. When I show up at their door with papers, they will know why I am there and make a decision to either open that door or something else. Another consideration for you as our client is the additional work involved for us if your office doesn't provide us with as much information as possible right from the get-go. A street name could be Rainbow Street, Rainbow Drive, Rainbow Way, etc. If you don't know which street your defendant lives on, we may have to go to all the Rainbow's in the area. In Truckee there are two. Each address we go to carries an addtional fee. ------ Hourly
rate $150 For all Assignments. Process Service gets a flat rate ------ Important information regarding your service of process.
Additional fees will be charged for evasive persons, more than 4
attempts locally out of Truckee, special situations, weather and
4 wheel drive access. Some of our service areas are rural, mountainous
and subject to extreme driving conditions, heavy snow and road closures.
Out of area services sometimes require more time to allow for mailing
and communication between the office and our professionals.
